The fifth ranking tournament weekend of the 2024-25 season.
The first competition of the weekend was the Welsh classic.
Group 1 Matt Doe topped the group ahead of Michael Callaghan with the highlights of the group being matt recording a 66.73 average 20 and 21 darts with a 99 checkout in his 2-1 victory over Michael.
Group 2 Neil Dudbridge topped the group with some quality darts, which included a 2-1 victory over Aaron Haley in 15 dart leg 144 checkout and 18 dart leg 156 checkout with Aaron sat on tops. Lee Dagnell recorded the highest average of the group with 88.41 including a 13 dart leg. runner up in the group was Jonathan Hirst.
Group 3, this group started with a fantastic 2-0 win for Sally Evans over Paul Gelder. Topping the group was David Johnson who recorded a 180 and Paul Gelder recovered to take 2nd place.
Group 4 this saw Peter Bramley showing there`s still life in the old dog yet, by winning all his games in the group including a 2-1 victory over Alan Wilkinson with 70.03 average. Alan Wilkinson went on to claim 2nd place in the group.

Massive Congratulations to Paul Gelder on becoming Welsh Classic winner 2025.
The second competition of the weekend and our final Major of the season The Welsh Open.
Group 1 Paul Gelder topped the group and Michael Callaghan (180) runner up.
Group 2 Jonathan Hirst won all his games 2-0 including a 180 vs Des Dehar and a 71.58 average vs Matt Doe. Matt was runner up and recorded a 180 and a 67.97 average and 11 dart leg vs John Young Who`d missed match darts to win 2-0.
Group 3 with Aaron Haley and Neil Dudbridge winning their 1st 3 games 2-0 it went down to the final game between them for who finished 1st and 2nd, Neil holding his nerve to take the game 2-1 and finish top and Aaron taking 2nd place. David Johnson had recorded a 180 a 17 dart leg and 100 checkout earlier in the group, Neil recorded averages of 73.32 and 77.08.
Group 4 Lee Dagnell won all his group games to top the group including a 79.11 average vs Sally Evans, 2nd place in the group went down to count back rule and Steve North earlier 2-0 victory over Kevin Shifty Lack proved to be vital as Steve North finished runner up.
