Barrow in-Furness June 2025
The sixth ranking tournament weekend of the 2024-25 season.
In the BDDA Lake`s Classic on the Saturday, Group 1 was an interesting group with all 4 ladies drawn together with the 5th player being Paul Gelder, Paul won all his games to top the group with Sally Evans taking second place by winning 3 of her games.
Group 2 was a tough group to be in, but Matt Doe came out in top spot and Jonathan Hirst taking second place.
Group 3 saw David Johnson top the group and the ever improving Aaron Haley taking Second place with a fine victory over Kevin Shifty Lack.
Group 4 we seen John Young`s fine form continue by topping the group, with Lee Dagnell taking second place.

Semi finals
A dominant performance by Lee Dagnell in a 4-1 win over Matt Doe.
Jon Hirst winning 4-3 over Paul Gelder in a very close affair.
Final
Jon Hirst becoming BDDA Lake`s Classic Champion 2025 with a superb 4-0 victory over Lee Dagnell.
On sunday the players participated in the BDDA Lake`s Open.
Group 1 Alan Wilkinson dominated this group winning all his games 2-0, and another great day for John Young as he battled well to finish second in the group.
Group 2 Paul Gelder winning all his games 2-0 2-1 2-1 to top the group and Aaron Haley taking second place with a fine 2-1 win over Lee Dagnell.
Group 3 Matt Doe topped this group, with Sally Evans producing great wins over Adam Doe and Kevin Shifty Lack to take second spot.
Group 4 Group of death between Steve North Jonathan Hirst and David Johnson, Jon winning both games with Dave taking second place with a quality 158 checkout at 1-1 vs Steve North.

Semi finals
Paul Gelder was up for this one and cruised to a 4-1 win over Matt Doe.
Jon Hirst continued his fine form but in a close match sneaked a 4-3 victory over Dave Johnson.
Final
Jon Hirst`s winning run came to an end with a fine darting display from Paul Gelder who took the title 4-2 to become the BDDA Lake`s Open Champion 2025

The last ranking tournament of the season is in Chelmsford in July where we find out who takes the final places for the British Masters 2025.
