Bridlington Spa September 2025
The first ranking tournament of the season in the fantastic venue in Bridlington Spa, we welcomed 4 players from Scotland 3 of them making their BDDA debuts.
on the Friday we played the BDDA British Classic.
In the group stage we had a couple of tough groups starting in group A an all English affair.
Group A Darren Kennish topped the group with Gavin Hibbert runner up.
Group B Ricky Chilton won all his games to top the group with new player Charlie Kay from Scotland coming runner up with two terrific wins.
Group C Jurgen Vercammen topping the group and Phil Lees taking runner up.
Group D Vinne D`Hondt topped the group and Nathan Butler taking second place.
Quarter finals saw Kennish Vercammen D`Hondt Chilton all winning 3-0 to take there places in the semi finals.
Semi final both of these games where close and a tough battle, Darren Kennish beating Jurgen Vercammen 4-3 and Vinne D`Hondt Beating Ricky Chilton 4-1.
Final -This being a great final between Darren and Vinnie, with the score at 2-2 Vinnie took a grip of the game with 20 and 22 dart legs to win 4-2 and take the title of BDDA British Classic Champion 2025.
Day two we played the first Major of the season, the BDDA British Open 2025.
Group A Darren Kennish topped the group and Nathan Butler runner up.
Group B Ricky Chilton topping the group and Amar Dehar runner up.
Group C Kevin Stringer topped the group and Jurgen Vercammen runner up.
Group D Vinnie D`Hondt and Richard Green second.
Quarter final we seen a great 3-0 win for Kennish Chilton and Stringer with D`Hondt beating Vercammen 3-1.
Semi final Kennish beat Stringer 4-2 in a close game and D`Hondt beating Ricky 4-1.
Final – Vinnie D`Hondt 4 Darren Kennish 1
Darren took the first leg and then Vinnie hit legs of 29 24 18 19 to take the title of BDDA British Open Champion 2025.
