BDDA / World Paradarts Cymru Classic Event 2026 – Standing
The Cymru Classic Standing Event delivered a competitive afternoon of darts, with strong performances throughout the knockout stages and a deserved champion emerging.
In the quarter-finals, Steve North set the tone with a solid 3–1 win over Jon Hirst, while Matthew Curry impressed with a convincing 3–0 victory against Sally Evans. Aaron Haley showed his class early on, defeating David Johnson 3–1, and Neil Dudbridge completed the semi-final lineup with a 3–1 win over Matt Doe.
The semi-finals saw Steve North continue his fine form, overcoming Matthew Curry 4–2 in a controlled display. The second semi-final was a tighter affair, with Aaron Haley edging past Neil Dudbridge 4–3 in a closely fought contest.
The final saw Steve North and Aaron Haley face off for the title. Haley produced a dominant performance when it mattered most, taking the match 4–1 to claim the Cymru Classic Standing KO crown.

The Cymru Open Standing KO delivered a full day of high-quality darts, with strong performances right across the field and a standout run from eventual champion Jon Hirst.
The quarter-finals set the tone early. Matt Doe opened with a convincing 3–0 win over Alan Wilkinson, showing real control on the outer ring. Neil Dudbridge followed with a solid 3–1 victory against David Johnson, while Aaron Haley matched Doe’s scoreline with a dominant 3–0 win over Michael Callaghan. Jon Hirst completed the semi-final lineup after a composed 3–1 win against Matthew Curry.
The semi-finals raised the intensity another level. Dudbridge and Doe played out a thrilling encounter, with Dudbridge edging a tense decider 4–3 in one of the matches of the tournament. In contrast, Hirst produced a ruthless display against Haley, racing to a 4–0 victory and barely giving his opponent a look at a finish.
The final saw Jon Hirst face Neil Dudbridge, and it was Hirst who carried his semi-final momentum into the showpiece. Dudbridge battled hard and took a leg, but Hirst’s scoring power and clinical finishing proved decisive as he closed out a deserved 4–1 victory to lift the Cymru Open Standing KO title.
