BDDA  / World Paradarts Cymru Classic Event  2026 – Wheelchair

  Cymru Classic Chair  delivered an afternoon of high-quality darts, building to a thrilling final that went right down to the wire. Darren Kennish looked in imperious form throughout the tournament.

Darren edged past Ricky Chilton 3–2 in the quarter-finals before dispatching Amar Dehar 4–1 in the semi-final, showing consistency and scoring power at key moments. On the other side of the draw, Vinnie D’Hondt was equally impressive. He overcame Jurgen Vercammen 3–1 in the last eight and followed that up with a solid 4–2 semi-final victory over Phil Lees to book his place in the final.

The final was a fitting climax. Kennish and D’Hondt traded legs in a tense, high-standard contest, with neither player able to pull clear. In the deciding stages, it was D’Hondt who held his nerve, edging the match 4–3 to lift the Cymru Classic Chair  title after a closely fought battle.

This event delivered a strong day of darts, with quality performances right through the knockout stages and a dominant champion emerging in style.

In the quarter-finals, Darren Kennish overcame Amar Dehar 3–1, while Jurgen Vercammen cruised past Mick Jones 3–0. Vinnie D’Hondt made his intentions clear early with a convincing 3–0 win over William Townsend, and Kevin Stringer booked his semi-final spot by defeating Ricky Chilton 3–1.

The semi-finals produced two very different contests. Kennish edged out Vercammen in a tense, high-quality battle, eventually prevailing 4–3 to reach the final. In contrast, D’Hondt was in ruthless form, sweeping past Stringer 4–0 without dropping a leg.

The final saw Vinnie D’Hondt raise his game yet again. against a Darren Kennish coming off a hard-fought semi-final, D’Hondt produced a clinical display to claim a commanding 4–0 victory and lift the Cymru Open Wheelchair  title.

Across the quarter-final, semi-final and final stages, D’Hondt completed an outstanding run, winning every match without conceding a single leg — a truly dominant performance and a well-deserved champion.
